Just
in time for music festival season comes a collaboration that is sure to
catch the eye of boho-loving hippie chicks and the street style photogs
that adore them. While some fashion collabos can feel a bit forced,
this one makes perfect sense and we’re actually surprised that it didn’t
happen sooner. one of New York’s most beloved designers who is widely recognized for her rock-and-roll aesthetic and 70s-era--by-way-of-Laurel-Canyon-inspired frocks, has partnered with for a collection that officially launches this Thursday.
The
limited-edition line includes patchwork prairie dresses, crochet
bikinis, dainty lace tops, and flared trousers. There’s no way that you
can’t look at these clothes and not immediately start conjuring up
visions of summer, which is exactly what the designer wants. “The sun
kissed, tow headed California beach girl is never very far from my
thoughts,” Sui tells Yahoo Style. “I have done several fashion shows
inspired from this iconographic beach girl and was so excited to bring
my bohemian aesthetics and love the 60’s and 70’s to the collaboration.”
