During last night’s taping of was seen sporting a chain-printed peasant blouse with open sleeves,
white shorts, and all the gold jewelry her little wrists and ears could
handle. Nothing strange about that, except for the fact that her total
look retails for under $100.
Say whaaat?
That’s
right. Do not be fooled by the rocks that she’s got, she’s still Jenny
from the block, who wears clothes from Kohl’s. Well, she wears her own clothes from Kohl’s, from her “Jennifer Lopez” collection, which also includes essentials for your bedroom and bathroom.

This
is not the first time she’s stepped out sporting her own “effortless
and sophisticated style,” the actress has been known to hit up the town
in the label’s signature onesies, on the hand of her hunky boyfriend
Casper Smart. .
J.Lo
knows that she has unprecedented selling power, and while she may favor
higher-end designers for more formal affairs – can we ever forget that
Versace dress she wore at the Grammys? – American Idol does not
really require red carpet-worthy looks. Watched by millions of
Americans, sitting on their living rooms at home, Lopez knows that is
her core customer base, so she may as well sell it while she’s got the
chance.

Her
collection, inspired by her own wardrobe – she even invites the
designers to her house so they can gain inspiration from her closet –
retails from $36 for a textured blouse, to $100 for a faux leather
jacket. Her line of accessories is a bit pricier, a silver tone and gray
“mother of pearl” watch, can set you back a cool $275.
A
best seller at Kohl’s since its launch in 2011– it even helped Kohl’s
profits rise 20% in its first quarter at the store – reportedly nets
Lopez about five percent of the revenues. With her $20 million American Idol salary, Lopez is not hurting for cash, but why stop when you’re feeling hot hot hot?
